Cancellation & Data Export Policy

Last updated: August 13, 2026

Draft — pending owner and legal approval. Some commitments here (including the post-cancellation deletion period, setup-fee refund terms, and liability limits) are still under review and may change before they are final.

The promise behind VentCRM is simple: your customer list is yours, and you will never be locked away from it. This page is that promise in writing.

Exporting data while you’re a customer

You don’t need to ask permission. Inside the app you can export your clients, invoices, leads, and Stripe payout history to CSV at any time, from their own screens. If you need something the self-serve exports don’t cover, email info@ventpro.nyc and we’ll pull it for you.

How to cancel

Email info@ventpro.nyc (or call/text) and say you’re cancelling. There’s no contract, no cancellation fee, and no retention script. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month, and you aren’t billed again after that.

What you receive on cancellation

A complete export of your data — customers, properties, jobs, quotes, invoices, payments, and message history — delivered to you in machine-readable form (CSV/JSON). Your Stripe account, and all of its payment history, is yours already and stays with you untouched.

What happens to your system afterward

Your deployment and its database are deleted from our active systems 30 days after cancellation takes effect. During that 30-day window you can still request or download your data — if you missed something in your export, ask and we’ll pull it before deletion. If you want us to keep the system on ice longer (for example, you’re deciding between providers), tell us and we’ll agree on a retention period instead.

Active systems vs. backup copies

The 30-day deletion above covers active systems — the running deployment and its live database. Residual copies inside our infrastructure provider’s backup and point-in-time-history systems expire separately on that provider’s retention schedule and are not accessible to other customers. We will publish the specific backup-retention window once it is verified with the provider; we don’t quote a number we haven’t confirmed.

Coming back

If you return after your system was deleted, a new setup is required — we can re-import the export we gave you, but we can’t resurrect a deleted deployment. If your system was retained by agreement, turning it back on is immediate.
